After my daughter was born, all the problems I had with my ex-husband surfaced. Eight months later, I decided to end our relationship and raise my child alone. I got diagnosed with postpartum depression at that time. I couldn’t take good care of myself and my daughter, and I felt guilty, in despair and many other fluctuating emotions. I felt that my life had hit rock bottom.
These experiences urged me to find a way to treat my depression. In six years, I visited different places, I learnt about holistic birth, yoga, Tibetan Buddhism, child psychology, early child education, health maintenance with traditional Chinese medicine and wellness retreats.
In 2020, I moved to Germany, where I learnt more about early child education, psychology and entrepreneurship. My horizons and cultural perspective broadened, my life expanded and I met a very good friend.
During this recovery journey, I slowly regained confidence and hope in life. These experiences were not easy, but they gave my life new depths and meanings, making it diverse and fun. It taught me the importance of being empathetic and compassionate towards others. I hope to use my own experience to encourage and brighten the lives of others, and to inspire others to face trauma.
Even in hardship, each person can live a fulfilling life again by finding new perspectives and directions. Our struggles will become nutrients for life to grow and to change, and to be a good role model for others.
